Here we are at last, at the start of the next chapter for the God of Thunder. If you’ve been paying attention to comic book news for the last few months, you’ve no doubt gotten word about the new status quo starting in this book which will see Mjolnir and the mantle of Thor passed on to a new, female hero. Whenever we see a drastic change like this, though, there is some worry involved; while such changes can represent an opportunity for new, engaging stories, it is also true that such an event could end up being nothing more than a cheap gimmick for getting everyone’s attention. I’m glad to say, though, that this book seems to be the former. 

Avengers NOW!: Are More New Books on the Way?

When Marvel recently announced their latest promotional onslaught revolving around everything Avengers NOW!, most of the buzz surrounded the big changes coming to Captain America and Thor, with most of the push, seemingly, put behind a few new series and a lot of current ones. A closer look at the released teaser image for Marvel’s new branding shows-off a lot of good, a lot of potential, and maybe even a bit of mystery.
