“Who was Shanhara?”

Shanhara is now my favorite Valiant heroine. The sacrifices that a father has to make in order to save his child. And his people. This story has been long in the making, and exceeds all expectations. Time means nothing to Shanhara. Love means everything to Shanhara.

At long last the war of the psiots has begun. Trickery is afoot in the home base of P.R.S., and the Director knows this, but can’t figure out where it is. Harada finally feels the need to move things along in the stalemate with P.R.S. World purification isn’t going to happen itself.

Joshua Dysart continues his successful run with a new jumping on story arc. The writing was pretty slick as I was thrown for a loop, just like the director. Dysart proves to us, the reader, that Harada is the most evil, power driven villain in comics today.

The art team of Pere Perez, Brian Reber, and Scot Eaton did a fantastic job of keeping up with Joshua’s writing. The art of doing the same scenes, only from different angles! Brilliant! It’s tools like this is why Valiant stands alone in the creativity department.

Valiant seems that it has another hit arc on it’s hands. We’re seeing the beginnings of something that has been building up for over 2 years. I can’t wait to see how this ends up (more like to see how the future in issue #1 comes to be)! Overall this was a fantastic read. Definitely a great jumping on issue for any new readers.
