Things are not looking great for Batman. The city is infected with a Joker virus, the Joker may or may not be unkillable, and now the only people he has left to go to for help is the Court of Owls. Things couldn’t possibly go bad, right?

According to DC’s March Previews, both Animal Man and Talon will wrap up in early 2014. Color me surprised at the news of both of these books going bye-bye. Jeff Lemire’s Animal Man has been pretty spectacular, while Talon, spinning out of one of the greatest runs on Batman in recent memory, had a lot of early traction.
The news coming out earlier this week that Batman: The Dark Knight is also wrapping up, coupled with the loss of Batman Inc. a year or so ago should worry DC fans who thought the Bat-books untouchable. Does DC have no bulletproof properties anymore?
