Taylor: The Wicked + The Divine #2
All-Star creative team Keiron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie are back with the second issue of their new indie book, The Wicked + The Divine. Issue 1 did a lot to establish a captivating premise, a rich mythology, and engaging characters, and I’m excited to see them carry over that momentum into this second installment. And with Gillen and McKelvie in charge, I have confidence that the results will be outstanding.

Diabolically divine pop-god Lucifer is in trouble. She offers superfan Laura an unprecedented deal if she helps. It’s a bargain. A Faustian bargain, and they always turn out so well. Who knows who Laura will turn to fulfill it? We do. Clearly. It’s our comic. You can know too if you buy this fine pictorial narrative with your human money coins.
Gaumer: Teen Titans #1
I’m not even ashamed to say it: My name is Gaumer, and I’m a Teen Titans fan. But, I also have to admit that it’s been a whole lot of crap from this team of heroes since The New 52 began, and even though I’m still not getting Cyborg on my favorite union of underage uber-folks, finally, Beastboy is back. Yes, I know that he’s “been back” but now he is REALLY back! I can take or leave Bunker, but the rest of the Titans make for a great team, and Kenneth Rocafort’s art alone is worth the price of admission. Can’t wait for this one!
