Greetings, Geeks! We wanted to take a moment and thank each and every one of you who have chosen to visit this website regularly, read our geek rants, follow us on social media, listen to our podcasts, watch our videos on the Weekly Recs Youtube channel, or have otherwise been a fan of this endeavor. We’ve only been doing this thing for a few short months, but the response we’ve received in that short time has been nothing short of awesome. Thank you all!
With that said, however, we are not about to rest on our laurels. The Usual Gang of Geeks at Outright Geekery have a ton of new stuff in the pipeline to go along with our already established geek debauchery, but there’s always room for more, varied, geek content and, always, enough love to go around. We have some huge plans for the next few months!
Our weekly comic book reviews and in-depth articles; The Top o’ the Lot geek lists; character and event retrospectives; TV, movie, and game articles; podcasts, videos, and everything else we’re currently doing is not going to end. On the contrary, the OG Crew will be redoubling this already successful effort, adding more reviews, more articles, more videos, more podcasts, more events, and more varied geek content in the coming months. But that’s not all!
We’re also beginning a complete rework to the site’s layout, and working on bringing a more streamlined audio and video experience. Because of all the new content we’ll be providing, a sleeker and more efficient website will make it easier to find, share, and comment on everything Outright Geekery is doing. We’re hoping this helps to build on the already large and growing community of Outright Geeks, but we can’t do it without you.
Beyond being simply a provider of geek content, the OG Crew always envisioned Outright Geekery as an open and community focused collection of genre-spanning geeks, and that has not changed a bit. We like to think that being community focused is what sets OG apart, and we need your help to grow that community. Don’t think of it as selfish promotion, think of it as sharing the love.
If you haven’t already, Follow us on Twitter at @OutrightGeekery, Like us on Facebook, visit the website, and, above all, share our stuff with your friends and followers, comment on the stuff we do, and let us know what you want to see Outright Geekery take on next. And when we say “community” we mean community! If you want to get in on the action you can do more than just comment and share. Outright Geekery is always looking for new contributors, and the only qualifications are you have to be a geek, and you have to have passion. If you have that, everything else will work, because it already has. Get in touch with is through the site’s contact page, Twitter, Facebook, or at OutrightGeekery@gmail.com.
Again, thanks go out to everyone who has made Outright Geekery the success it’s been in only a few short months. We’ve only just started building the foundations of Outright Geekery, and the future is only going to bring bigger and better things. Get ready!
