“Who was Shanhara?”

Shanhara is now my favorite Valiant heroine. The sacrifices that a father has to make in order to save his child. And his people. This story has been long in the making, and exceeds all expectations. Time means nothing to Shanhara. Love means everything to Shanhara.

Robert Venditti just made me cry. No one ever thought that the X-O armor is an actual sentient being. As for a 25th anniversary special, this issue was very indicative of Valiant’s rebirth. Young Valiant goes into seclusion, to avoid being taken by a virus, only to emerge more powerful. A well written, executed story that provides an insight to a character that, we didn’t even know was there.

Cafu and Brian do a wonderful job of capturing the urgency of a father’s desperate race to find a cure for his daughter. Beautiful lines. Smooth colors. Valiant has been pulling at the heartstrings as of late. Further cementing my fandom.

Over all this was a great 25 years of being a Valiant fan has been a wonderfully wild ride, full of ups, and downs. But, with all the downs, Valiant has emerged as a bona-fide contender fir the comic dollar. And when the movies start coming, the amount we see comi g from Valiant will be tremendous!
