It’s Archers turn. If he actually knows what he’s doing. Sometimes being the good guy isn’t so cut and dry, and Archer, as naive as he is, is about to find that out. The chase takes an unexpected turn as Archer finds out, once again, that he is just a pawn again. But in this game of chess, it may be the world that loses this game.

Ales Kot writes a fast paced, action adventure comedy with this one. You knew from page one what your getting yourself into, and with each turn of the page, something new pops up! The map at the beginning of the issue does not do it justice!

The art team of Adam Gorham, Michael Spicer, and Jared K. Fletcher do a fantastic job of keeping up with Ales’s writing. The paneling alone is fantastic! The details on Archers face when he’s frustrated! Frakkin hilarious! All this, and the fate of the world is at stake!

The cover art to this series has been nothing less than eye grabbing. I especially like how the cover is literally the first scene in the book! Who else but Valiant does that?! It’s brilliant outside the box thinking that brings new readers into the Valiant fold.

Overall this is a fun, fast, hilariously action packed thrill ride with a twist ending. This could/should be Valiant’s first animated feature. It has a good chunk of their character stable, and it would draw new readers in.
