I guess there is meaning to the saying “You can’t always go home”. Livewire is living this statement as she is back out on her own in the world. There’s also meaning to the saying “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”, and she also feels that her life is now empty when she has no “missions” to perform.

Matt Kindt continues his fantastic run with Valiant in this issue. He asks the question, “How do you re-enter the world, after you have just saved it?”‘. The answer is not easy when your face is on TV.

The art team of Pere Perez and Brian Reber really show us how alone Livewire can be in a crowded room. The lines were sharp and the colors were fluid. I especially liked how her suit comes on and off of her.

All together this was a good read. It gave a glimpse into the private life of one of our heroes. How sad she is on the inside.
