The Geomancer of this era has been introduced, and she is in trouble. From the events of the last issue, we learned that The Immortal Enemy is back…we just did not know how close he was, until now. Even the combined force of Gilad, Ninjak, and Bloodshot may not be enough, and Neville might just have an ace up his sleeve.

As with the joining of forces with this series, the creative team has joined together in two teams, the fantastic writing team up of Jeff Lemire and Matt Kindt, and the mind blowing art grouping of Paolo Rivera and Joe Rivera. Jeff and Matt do a fantastic job making tbe reader really feel Gilad’s fear and desperation, as he faces off against an adversary that, we know, will plunge the world into darkness. Paolo and Joe Rivera team up and bring us a very noir, scary, slimy, supernatural visual pallette to coarse over in delight.

The Valiant is shaping up to alter what we currently know as the Valiantverse. What’s in the box? What does Neville have planned? Will the team up of all the known Valiant heroes be needed in order to stop The Immortal Enemy? I, for one, am excited to find out.
