Taylor: Amazing Spider-Man #9
It seems like Peter Parker just got back, and already he’s at the center of another big event. Marvel boasts that this Spider-Verse event is going to star every Spider-Man ever, and apparently they weren’t kidding. An event where they’re including Peter Porker and doing it with a straight face could end up being amazing or abysmal. But I’ll be damned if I’m not curious to see which.AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #9

David: Gotham Academy #2
The first issue of Gotham Academy was a great start for this series. Cloonan and Fletcher have created a story that’s a fun read while Kerscht’s stylized art definitely makes splash. It has the feel of a Batman comic without the Batman in it. I’m interested in learning what the connection between Olive Silverlock and Batman is and learn why she’s dislikes him so much. Maybe we’ll learn a little more on Wednesday.

Gaumer: The Fuse #7
I’m not a real big fan of crime comics, but the way writer Antony Johnston has wrapped a solid crime drama around an honest-to-goodness sci-fi tale just has me sucked in, and sucked in deep. The second arc of The Fuse begins here, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

“GRIDLOCK,” Part One
22,000 MILES UP, THERE IS (STILL) NO BACKUP.
They call it Gridlocking—maglev-bike races across the Fuse’s vast solar arrays. Fast, dangerous, and very illegal. When a gridlocker turns up dead, Klem and Ralph begin their own race to catch a killer!
PLUS: Bonus backup strip “TABLOID” starts this issue!
Adam: Superman Unchained #9
I’m super excited about this issue! Not because of the story ( I don’t even remember what happened last issue), but rather because this means I don’t have to continue buying this mess of a series. The book itself has been fine but DC editorial has really screwed things up for this series and derailed any real excitement I had about this book.
Those are our picks, what’s on the top of your stack this Wednesday?
