Gaumer: Howtoons: (Re)Ignition #1

As a comic book fan I understand the importance of imagination. As a parent, and a stay-at-home parent at that, I understand the importance of making sure my kids have something fun to do that helps stir that imagination. Howtoons is all of these awesome aspects all rolled into a single comic book, and I can’t wait to read it, share it with my kids, get over to the hardware store and start building our own fun. It sure beats the hell out of constant XBox playing.

Howtoon - Reignition 1

The awe-inspiring, adventure-loving, science-doing series co-created by EAST OF WEST’s NICK DRAGOTTA returns with an all-new story from superstar creators FRED VAN LENTE, TOM FOWLER, and JORDIE BELLAIRE!
Tuck and Celine’s parents put their family in suspended animation to ride out the ecological apocalypse — but when the kids wake up to find Mom & Dad are gone, they have to make their way across a brave and terrifying new world to find the ‘rents…using only their Howtoons projects to survive!

Jules: Imperial #1

One of these weeks Image is gonna stop dropping number ones that sound interesting. Mark is a couple of weeks out from the biggest day of his life—his wedding day—but then fate steps in and pulls the rug out from under him. He is faced with an impossible choice: Marry the woman who loves, understands, and puts up with his (many) human failings? Or, leave her at the altar in order to take up the helm of the world’s one and only superhero, Imperial? I’ve gotta say Steven T. Seagal and Mark Dos Santos have def peaked my interest on this one, def one I plan on picking up and reading this week!Imperial 1IMPERIAL #1

AUGUST 6 / 32 PAGES / FC / T+ / $2.99
Mark is two weeks out from making the biggest decision of his life. But which big decision will it be? Taking the ring of the woman of his dreams and becoming a married man? Or taking the crown of the world’s only superhero and becoming the next Imperial? STEVEN T. SEAGLE (THE RED DIARY/ THE RE[A]D DIARY, Genius, it’s a bird…) teams with MARK DOS SANTOS for a buddy book with commitment issues.
